Experience Dragon Boat Paddling

For an introduction to the Cape Coral Dragon Boat Club and paddling in a dragon boat, we invite you to our free introductory classes held on Wednesdays at 4:15 – 5:45 PM at the Burnt Store Boat Ramp, 230 Burnt Store Road, Cape Coral, FL. Parking is free and there are rest rooms on site.

Individuals are invited to three complimentary sessions prior to becoming a club member.

These introductory sessions are your chance to experience this exciting sport firsthand. You will learn:

• Basic safety information 

• The most common dragon boat commands 

• The basic applied physics of paddling 

• How to properly hold your paddle and position yourself in the boat 

• The basics of the stroke, including the set-up/paddles up position, the catch, the pull/drive, the exit, and the recovery

• Personalized tips to help with your form and technique

• Plus, all equipment is provided for these introductory paddling sessions
